Zip and Unzip

Previous  Top  Next

Here are some points about Zip.

A *.ZIP file is a file which contains one or more compressed files. Compression is very useful in keeping download times low.

This format is standard in windows XP but for older computers you will need a zip program.

To decompress/unzip a zip file you will need a Zip/Unzip program. Zip programs can be found on the Internet, I found several using the following links:

www.tucows.com

www.zdnet.com

Sometimes when unzipping a file you will get an error like: This file is corrupted.

Usually this means that you have not downloaded the complete zip file.

Downloading it again will often solve the problem.
